This is a story
of how fear turned to laughter during my first RV trip.
It had only been about 15 minutes into our ordeal and I wasn’t surprised to see my cousin freaking out already! The constant badgering to investigate the noises outside the RV were persistent. Little did she know she would be in for a surprise. As I headed outside the RV to see the situation, my cousin followed. I pointed in the direction of a dark shadow amongst the tall pines. I shouted at the top of my lungs trailed by screams from her. She had slipped and fell as I ran to lock her out of the RV. As the rest of us chuckled hysterically she wasn’t too impressed. Cruel? Sure. Worth it? Definitely. Eventually she was able to laugh about it, after her heart stopped racing. As for the dark shadow, it was an elk.
