I love
traveling everywhere in Canada, but I would love to travel in Ontario above all. These are the top 5 places I
would love to go to in Ontario.
Well let’s
start with the #5 destination. This would be the City of Ottawa. The reason for
this is, well it’s the Capital of Canada and there are plenty of things to see
such as Parliament, Museums and not a bad night life.
The #4 place
is Windsor. Now many people don’t really think to travel to Windsor, but it
really is a beautiful place. It is located right on the Windsor River with a
beautiful view of Detroit; there are some great old buildings to see as well as
good shopping. And if you are up for a little extra adventure, there are
Windsor River boat cruises and Detroit is a short drive away.
The #3 place
is Thunder Bay; it is a bit in the middle of nowhere, but it is a great city.
You have historical sites like the Terry Fox Monument and the Hoito (old
Finnish restaurant that is a staple breakfast place for locals). You can drive
20 minutes in any direction from the center of city and be in the wilderness
and be fishing in minutes.
The #2 on
the list is Toronto; the big city as most would call it. Toronto is a
magnificent place for shopping, nightlife, museums and pretty much anything you
can think of when it comes to something you want to do. I would suggest a nice
walk down Yonge Street, to go to a Blue Jays game and after dine in one of
hundreds of different restaurants you have to choose from.
Now, if I was not such a country bum I would have put Toronto first, but I am what I am and our #1 Ontario destination is Muskoka, particularly Bala. People do think that this little sliver of paradise is for the rich and famous, but they are wrong. There are many affordable camping sites and cottages to be explored. It is so beautiful out there and you have the convenience of the nearby cities; Parry Sound and Barrie, which are not too far away. It is hard to explain in words how a beautiful a summer day is out there, so after you read this blog I suggest you pack up and go there!!!!
Or do you have a
different place you go when you travel
in Ontario I have not mentioned?
